NUSX is the venture-building and IP commercialisation platform of the National University of Singapore. It runs the programmes that turn students and researchers into founders, licenses NUS patents to the companies that can deploy them, and connects the ventures that result to investors and industry. NUSX was called NUS Enterprise until September 2026.
NUS Enterprise became NUSX in September 2026. The name changed. The remit did not. Same programmes, same commercialisation office, same venture platform, now under one name. NUS Overseas Colleges, GRIP and the Summer Programme keep their names. BLOCK71 is now B71. MVP Studio is now ScaleX Foundry.
NUSX works with three groups. Students and graduates building companies, through NUS Overseas Colleges, the Summer Programme, GRIP, and the MSc in Venture Creation. Researchers with patentable work, through ITI. Companies and investors who license NUS technology, sponsor research, or back the ventures already in the portfolio.
Founders get four things. Patents and licences out of NUS labs through the Idea to Impact team. Early capital at the stage before a venture fund will look. Workspace and market access through B71. And introductions to the corporates and investors who buy or fund what they build.
Not for all of them. NUS Overseas Colleges and MSc in Venture Creation are for NUS students. B71, NGRIP, and other educational programmes are open to applicants with no NUS affiliation.
Yes. Four. Matter covers materials, semiconductors, and physical sciences. Logic covers AI, software, and data. Pulse covers healthcare, biotech, and medtech. Resilience covers defence. NUSX chose the four for NUS research strength, market momentum, and their weight in Singapore's long-term security.
NUSX is based at 21 Heng Mui Keng Terrace on the NUS campus in Singapore.
