You must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for NOC.
Be enrolled full-time at NUS as an undergraduate or eligible postgraduate student
Meet the minimum CAP / GPA requirement (varies by programme — check with your faculty)
Not have completed a previous overseas internship under NOC
Complete the compulsory pre-departure modules by intake date
Be recommended or endorsed by your faculty

Here is what happens at each stage after submission.
Shortlisted applicants are invited for a panel interview. Interviews are typically held in April. You will be notified by email.
Offers are released in May. You will receive an email with your assigned location and programme details. You have until June to accept.
Once you accept, onboarding begins. Complete pre-departure requirements and attend briefings before your intake date.

NUS reserves the right to withdraw or modify programmes, locations, and intake sizes at any time.
Deferral is not guaranteed and is subject to programme capacity and NOC office approval.
Funding and award conditions are subject to the terms set by each awarding body and may change between cycles.
Data submitted in your application is handled in accordance with the NUS Personal Data Policy.

How do I know if I'm eligible?
Check the eligibility criteria above. If you are unsure, contact the NOC office before applying.
Can I apply to more than one programme?
You may apply to NOC and one other overseas programme, but you can only accept one offer.
What if I miss the deadline?
Late applications are not accepted. Set a reminder and apply early — the portal may close on the stated date.
Is there an application fee?
No. There is no fee to apply to NOC.
How long does the decision take?
Decisions are communicated by May — approximately 6 weeks after the application close date.
Can I defer my place?
Deferral requests are reviewed case-by-case and are not guaranteed. Contact the NOC office if you have extenuating circumstances.
